Configuring AdobePS in Windows |

1. Click Start > Settings > Printers. 2. Right-click on the Acrobat Distiller printer and choose "Properties" from the popup menu. |

3. Click on the "Fonts" tab. |

4. Choose "Do not use printer fonts" or "Always use system fonts", whichever option is available. 5. Click the "Send fonts as…" button. |

6. Set TrueType fonts to be sent as "Outlines". 7. In the "Threshold" box, set the value to "1" (one). 8. Make sure that Postscript fonts are being sent "In Native Format". 9. Click OK. 10. Click on the "Postscript" tab. |

11. For the output format, choose "Optimize for portability (ADSC)". 12. Click the "Advanced" button. |

13. For the Postscript language level, choose "2". 14. For the data format, select "Binary" or "Pure Binary". 15. Click "OK", then click on the "Details" tab. |

16. Make sure that the name of the specified printer driver includes the word "AdobePS" and that the specified port is "FILE: (creates a file on disk)". 17. Click "OK" and close the Printers window. |
